There are rocks on the moon, there are rocks on Mars Now, perhaps, a rock from Mercury. In early 2012, a nomadic people in Western Sahara found some green stones on the beach. He knew that the empty desert was a good place to look for rocks from space, and that meteorite dealers would pay them a lot of money, so he picked up about three dozen stones that looked relevant. By spring, all 345 grams are sold in Erfoud, Morocco. Stefan Ralew, a meteorite dealer from Germany, is on a tour of the market and he found the stones and asked about them. The seller said he thought it was from Mars. But Ralew argues that due to their strange, glossy, emerald colors, they cannot come from any type of meteorite.
